You Can Receive a Miracle
by Ernest Angley Ministries
God said in His Word, I am the Lord that healeth thee (Exodus 15:26). He also said, I will take sickness away from the midst of thee (Exodus 23:25). God has promised healing, and He never makes a promise He won’t fulfill. I the LORD have spoken it, and I will do it. (Ezekiel 36:36).
When God made Adam and Eve and placed them in the Garden of Eden, they were perfect human beings who were to have lived forever in perfect peace without an ache or a pain. That was God’s will for humanity; but when Adam and Eve sinned, everything changed. The divine blood in their veins was replaced with human blood; and sickness, pain, sorrow and death became part of their lives.
Because Adam and Eve failed, Jesus had to come to Earth to redeem humanity both spiritually and physically. He shed His blood on Calvary for the salvation of our souls, and He was beaten at the whipping post for our healing. Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree...by whose stripes ye were healed (I Peter 2:24). Jesus made healing available for all who will believe.
HEALING IS GOD’S WILL
When Jesus lived on Earth, He showed us it was God’s will to heal. And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people (Matthew 4:23). The Bible tells us that a leper went to Jesus saying, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean (Mark 1:40). The man believed Jesus had the power to heal him, but he didn’t know whether or not it was the Lord’s will to heal him. Then Jesus stretched forth His hand and said, I will; be thou clean (Mark 1:41).
When you study Christ’s healing ministry, you will see that He healed every kind of sickness and disease; but He could not heal all kinds of people. When He went to his own country, He did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief (Matthew 13:58). Doubt and unbelief will keep you from receiving what you need from the Lord. That is why Jesus said, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23). When Jairus’ daughter was dying, Jesus told him, Believe only, and she shall be made whole (Luke 8:50).
That same healing ministry still exists today, so you must decide it is definitely God’s will to heal you. The Bible says, With God nothing shall be impossible (Luke 1:37). It also says, Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth (III John 1:2). Some people think God gets glory out of their suffering, but God gets no glory until you are delivered and become a testimony for Him. If God wanted you to be sick, you would be going against His will in seeking help from a doctor or anyone else. We believe in good doctors and medicines; but when they have done all they can do, let God bring the complete deliverance He has promised you.
HOW TO RECEIVE HEALING
The Bible says you can receive healing through prayer. And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up (James 5:15). It also says you can be healed by the laying on of hands. Jesus said, They [believers] shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:18).
Another way to receive healing is through an anointed cloth, and the Bible tells us that took place in Paul’s day. And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them (Acts 19:11,12). Miracles are still taking place that way today.
Ernest Angley Ministries sends out blest cloths free of charge that carry the anointing of God. The ministers at Grace Cathedral pray over every blest cloth, and those cloths provide a point of contact between you and the Lord that can help you release your faith for a miracle. We receive thousands of testimonies of people who have been healed by using a blest cloth.
HOW TO KEEP YOUR MIRACLE
No matter what method of healing you use, you must claim victory and close your case. You may not see a change in your condition for days or even weeks, but that doesn’t mean you did not receive; so don’t get discouraged. You may have symptoms of your affliction as your miracle is manifesting itself, but those are false symptoms from the devil. Jonah called them lying vanities saying, They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy (Jonah 2:8).
If you constantly talk about your sickness or affliction, you are giving the devil an open door to keep you afflicted. You have to stop looking back to the awful condition you were in and look forward to your new life of freedom from your sickness or affliction. Bury yourself in the Word and in the promises of God, and use them. Then the devil will have to flee. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7).
God promised to heal you, and you must know that He will keep that promise. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it (I Thessalonians 5:24). It is your responsibility to hold on to what you received from the Lord by keeping your eyes on God and thanking Him for your miracle to come. The Bible says, But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it (Romans 8:25).
You cannot let your faith waver. The Bible says, But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord (James 1:6,7). God always rewards faith in Him; but if you let the devil shake your faith, he will steal what you have received. If Peter had continued using his faith, he would have walked on the water without sinking; but he let his faith waver, and he began to sink. Then Jesus reached out for Peter and said, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt (Matthew 14:31)?
DON’T FAIL AND LOSE YOUR MIRACLE
Some people believe that if you get a miracle from the Lord, you can never lose it; but that is not true. All God’s promises are conditional. Anything you receive through faith and obedience can be lost through doubt and disobedience. Anything you receive from serving the Lord with your whole heart can be lost through backsliding. You cannot reject the truth in the Word of God and expect to keep its blessings.
God does not heal people so they can go the way of the world and commit sin; He heals them so they will give glory to His name and help build His Kingdom. Whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God (I Corinthians 10:31). Jesus said to the man at the pool of Bethesda, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee (John 5:14). God can heal a sinner or a saint; but if you don’t give your life to Him and serve Him, there is no guarantee that you will keep your miracle. The Bible says, Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up (James 4:10). God requires humility and obedience from His children.
If you have tried all man has to offer you, and nothing has worked; it is time to look to Jesus. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Jesus brought all the faith you need to believe for any miracle or healing. Hear Him asking, “Wilt thou be made whole?” Then decide today that your answer will be “Yes,” no matter how things look.
