Opinions

February 2026
God is very concerned about people’s opinions. When they are not taken to the Word of God and checked before they are shared, they are dangerous; and they have hindered His work again and again. The Lord has let me know that He is going to hold you responsible for the opinions you hand out in this last hour.
Many think they have gotten by with their opinions, but they have robbed God and hurt others. Opinions have destroyed the promises, the love and the power of God in people’s lives; and God has had about enough. If you are one who shares opinions God is not pleased with, He is going to push you out of the way in this last hour. He is not going to continue to let you hurt others and hinder His work. If you have an opinion about a particular subject, person or circumstance that does not match God’s Word, you must cast it aside. It is poison to you and to others.
You may say, “I have a right to my opinions”; and that is true, but you don’t have a right to use them to hurt others and hinder God. You must take every opinion to God before you use it even for yourself. If you don’t, you are on your own. Then when one of your opinions brings calamity, you will blame God for it and ask Him why He didn’t stop you; but it will be your own fault.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts (Isaiah 55:8,9). God’s thoughts are not our thoughts, but He will give you His thoughts if you allow Him to; and those thoughts are in the Word. That is your safety and your protection. Thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety (Psalm 4:8).
The Danger of Opinions
An opinion is a belief not based on absolute certainty, and that is why they are so dangerous. Your opinion about a particular person is not based on absolute certainty, so you had better not say anything about them unless you are willing to put your life on the line for your opinion. In fact, anytime you share an opinion, you are putting your life on the line because God holds you accountable for it.
I have spent so much time trying to heal people’s wounds that came from someone giving out their opinion of them—their opinion about what they should do, how they should act or dress, where they should work, who they should marry, etc. I tell people again and again that the opinions of others have nothing to do with what God thinks. They have to learn to ignore what people say because what “seems” to be true can be totally false, and what “seems” to be right can be totally wrong. People’s opinions are weak, fragile and dangerous.
We all know that guns are dangerous, and you have to be very careful with them; but you must also know that opinions are even more dangerous than a truck full of guns. More people have been destroyed with opinions than have ever been destroyed with bullets, bombs or even in wars; yet people who think their opinions are so great act so “holier than thou.”
People who love their opinions are not living in the Word of God, and that’s why they don’t do much for God. They are full of their opinions and ego, and God can’t use people like that because they cannot hear what God is saying.
Judge Not
Opinions can be a judgment; and the Lord said, Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again (Matthew 7:1,2). You will be judged in the same way you judge others.
Opinions are an evaluation or estimation of the quality or worth of another, and many so-called Christians are always weighing others; but God’s people are to be weighed only on His scale and not on yours or mine. The LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed (I Samuel 2:3). No one else has the knowledge they must have about a person to judge them or weigh them, and it is so dangerous to judge one of God’s little lambs. Jesus said, And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones [little lambs] that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea (Mark 9:42). God is not going to put up with dissension in the congregation of His people.
Some people have opinions about the miracles of God. There are those who think God doesn’t perform miracles today; but the Lord said, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me (Jeremiah 32:27)? Jesus said, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23).
No Opinions in the Word
People have so many opinions about the Bible, and there are quite a few different translations of it today. Some of those translations even leave out parts of the Bible that some people don’t agree with while others change things to fit their needs. There are other people who claim the Bible is too hard to understand, so they change it in a way that they think makes it easier to understand; but that is their opinion. It is safest to stick to the King James Version of the Bible if you want to read it God’s way.
The things of God have to be spiritually discerned. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned (I Corinthians 2:13,14).
Some people try to simplify the Word, but no one can give you the Word in greater simplicity than Jesus did; and the Holy Spirit gives it to people who will listen in the same way today. If you are spiritually minded, you can have understanding of the Word. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him (James 1:5). You have to be very careful with God’s Word.
Opinions of Self or God?
Some people think that whatever thought comes to their mind must be from God, but that is plain, old ego. I want to get away from people like that because they think they know everything. Those who are full of ego and love their opinions will lose God’s holy anointing if they don’t change.
Your life depends on what you do with your opinions. Will you get rid of those that are unlike God or hang on to them? Your answer will determine whether you will be ready when Jesus comes or not. Thus saith the Lord, there will be many people who will miss the Rapture because of their opinions.
You must remain humble before the Lord through prayer and fasting and never give out an opinion unless you are willing to die for it, yet people are always trying to tell others what they should do. Some will even go so far as to say, “God told me to tell you this” when it is all self and has nothing to do with God. I would like to tell those kinds of people to go to the altar and stay there until they get rid of their opinions.
If you don’t handle your opinions God’s way, you won’t keep the anointing of God because it will never mix with opinions and thoughts that are not in harmony with God. That is why the Bible says, Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ (II Corinthians 10:5).
As a child of God, you must always realize that you represent the Kingdom of God. You represent Jesus Christ, the One who died for our sins, and the Holy Spirit. So before you hand out another opinion, think about the fact that once you let it go, you can never get it back. Then you are responsible for it for eternity. Jesus said, But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment (Matthew 12:36). Most opinions are just idle words that are full of self. They’re not in harmony with God or His Word.
Keep Opinions to Yourself
When the Israelites were marching around Jericho, why do you think God told them to shut their mouths? Because He didn’t want them to share their opinions. If they had been allowed to talk, the walls never would have come tumbling down. God is saying the same thing to His people today: “Shut your mouths and march in the Spirit. Shut your mouths and don’t open them until I say so. And then, only say what I give you to say.”
The Israelites marched around the walls of Jericho once a day in silence for six days; and God said, And the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets. And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat (Joshua 6:4,5). When God finally permitted the people to speak, it wasn’t their opinions that went forth; it was the gracious unction of God. Then the walls came tumbling down just as God had said they would.
The Bride is going to tear down all kinds of walls in this final hour, and she won’t do it with her opinions. The prophets of old didn’t speak their opinions; they spoke “thus saith the Lord,” and signs and wonders took place. The Lord said through the prophet Elijah, How long halt ye between two opinions (I Kings 18:21)? You can’t use your opinions one day and God’s the next. That will never work.
You are going to have to become so aware of self in your life that you can put self and its ego down as soon as they try to take control. The life of God is not about who you are but about who Jesus is, and you have to be yielded to the leadership of the Holy Spirit at all times for people to be able to see God in you.
Destructive Opinions
So many people are not living by the will of God, the grace of God, the truth of God or the power of God. They are living by their opinions and saying, “I don’t believe you have to do this or that.” Before you speak about what you do or don’t believe you need to do, you had better go to the Bible and see what God says you should do. If you don’t do that and someone follows up on what you say, you could cause that soul to be lost for eternity; and it would be your fault.
Thus saith the Lord, many Christians have caused souls to drop into hell because of their opinions. It’s awful for so-called Christians to be so destructive, but it happens when they don’t use the mind of Christ. The Early Church disciples took on the mind of Christ and used it, but that didn’t happen until after Pentecost. Paul said, But we have the mind of Christ (I Corinthians 2:16).
Peter was full of opinions. When the soldiers came to arrest Jesus, Peter used his sword to cut off a man’s ear; but that is what he thought he should do and not what God thought he should do. Peter felt like he had really done something great; but Jesus said, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword (Matthew 26:52).
Peter should have compared his opinion on what he thought he should do with the many teachings he had heard from Jesus. Then he would have known not to use that sword. Many Christians have cut off a lot of ears because they used their sword of self rather than the sword of God.
If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain (James 1:26). The sword of the tongue has destroyed more people than physical swords. The armor of God includes the sword of the Spirit, and that sword does not cut off ears or maim the body; it heals the body and the soul. How many souls have been won through opinions?
Heed God’s Warnings
Just as there are traffic caution lights, there are spiritual caution lights; but when God flashes His caution light, some of you accelerate instead of slowing down. Maybe there is a bridge out ahead in your life, and over the brink you go. Then you blame God for the situation you end up in when it was your fault because you ignored His warning.
No one needs your opinions or anyone else’s unless they have been Word tested. Untested opinions can take the heart right out of a person. They can fill them with so much doubt that it will cause them to doubt God’s power and God’s work. It will render them helpless in the hands of the enemy and bring about oppression and depression because they are listening to what people think and not what God thinks, and God isn’t pleased.
The Bible says, And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32). Yet instead of seeking the truth in the thoughts of God, some of you form your own opinions about all kinds of things. The Spirit of God wants to work with you so you can know the truth. God is not pleased when you listen to false prophets and false preachers. He wants you to know when the devil is talking through someone.
Whatever is in a person comes out in their voice, and some of you can’t even discern it. You have to know the spirit of God, the spirit of man and the spirit of the devil and be able to separate them; yet some of you have walked more in your opinions than you have walked in the knowledge of God.
The Disciples Had Opinions
Simon used his opinions when he rebuked Jesus in Matthew 16; but Jesus rebuked him right back saying, Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men (Matthew 16:23). Jesus recognized the devil working in Peter.
After Christ had been resurrected, Thomas was filled with his opinions. When the other disciples told Thomas that Jesus had been resurrected and they had seen Him, Thomas said, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe (John 20:25). Prophets had spoken of what would happen to Jesus, but Thomas didn’t bother to go back to any of those prophecies.
The Lord never said we had to put our fingers into Jesus’ nail prints; that was Thomas’ opinion. He robbed himself and I’m sure others as well of knowing that Jesus had been resurrected. How much have you robbed yourself of because you didn’t check your opinions with the truth? How many times have you not recognized Jesus at work in a situation because you were listening to your opinions or those of someone else?
God Will Judge
The Israelites had plenty of opinions; and they grumbled and complained so much that at one time, God sent fiery serpents among them. And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread. And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died (Numbers 21:5,6).
Miriam and Aaron shared their opinions when they grumbled against Moses. And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard it (Numbers 12:2). God was not happy, and He sent a judgment of leprosy upon Miriam. Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous (Numbers 12:10).
God is sending judgment on some people today. You may not believe that, but Ananias and Sapphira didn’t believe it either. They lied to Peter about how much money they had received from selling some land; and instead of giving it all to the apostles, they kept part of it for themselves.
But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?...why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost (Acts 5:3-5).
About 3 hours later, Sapphira went before Peter and gave him the same story. Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord?...Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband. (Acts 5:9,10).
What Are You Sowing?
It’s time to yield to God and the Holy Spirit. It’s time to die to self and your opinions. Examine yourself and find out what you are really sowing to yourself and others. Do you have the thoughts of God from the mind of God? Does every one of your opinions match the Word? If not, you are responsible for all the damage and chaos that sharing any one of your opinions brings about. Whenever you fail God by giving out your wrong opinions, He will see to it that you pay for it spiritually, physically or financially.
God is coming after a church without spot or wrinkle. That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish (Ephesians 5:27). This is a shaking time, and God is going to shake people into His Kingdom or out. The truth of God is going to swallow you up or turn you away.
You must make sure you have the bridle of the Lord on your tongue. You may say, “I don’t share my opinions”; but if you carry a wrong opinion around on the inside of you, it could keep you out of Heaven. You may not be responsible for destroying someone else with it, but you could destroy yourself. You can’t have anything inside of you unlike God if you want to go with Jesus on Rapture Day.
If you are sowing wrong opinions among God’s people, He will open the eyes of His true children to you through His anointing and the Holy Spirit of truth. You have to take not only your opinions to the Word of God but also the opinions of others. There are those who appear to be something for God but really are not; and in this last hour, you must know who those people are. Then those who are speaking wrong things will no longer have any influence over you.
Again I say, you have to learn to discern the spirit of God from the spirits of man and the devil. You have to know when people’s opinions and thoughts are not of God, and you must back away from them. What you say and listen to must be God talk—the truth. You have to be a mouthpiece of God in this final hour. That is the only way you will edify others and win souls.
Let God Change You
Paul had so many wrong opinions before he was saved; but when he gave his life to the Lord, he put all his opinions aside and never turned back. He said, Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ (Philippians 3:8). Paul had been educated by some of the best scholars of his time, yet he counted all his worldly knowledge as nothing compared to what he had found in Christ.
Paul told the Corinthians, But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will, and will know, not the speech of them which are puffed up, but the power [of God]. For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power (I Corinthians 4:19,20). Paul was no longer going before people with his opinions or intelligent speech. He was presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ in simplicity. He was taking them the knowledge and the power of the Cross.
We are the Rapture generation, and it’s getting close to the end of the Gentile age; so God is warning you about your opinions before it’s too late. No one knows the day or the hour when Jesus will come, but we know it’s the season.
It's time for God’s children to move in closer to Him and yield to Him. It’s time for us to empty up of self and yield to the power and greatness of God. If that is your heart’s desire today, pray this prayer with me: Lord, here I am. I’m nothing, and you’re everything. Come, Lord Jesus, and use me. Come and live through me. Speak through me at all times. Lord, I will be everything you want me to be. I will do your will and obey you in this last and final hour. Whatever you want, Jesus, I will do; and I will be yours. I want your anointing and your power to work through me. I want your knowledge, and I want your truth. Help me to empty up of self and all of my opinions and follow you.
Salvation and Healing
If you are not saved today, pray this prayer with me now: Oh, Lord, I am so sorry I have sinned against you. I know you died for me, and I believe your shed blood washes away all of my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus! Come on in! If you meant that prayer, you have Jesus in your heart. You are free.
Jesus shed His blood for your salvation and healing; so now, you can have whatever miracle or deliverance you need. Lord, I bring these people before you, and I know you are ready to flow your miracle power to them today. Heal! Heal! in the blood name of Jesus. Feel that miracle power flowing into your body and claim your miracle now. And always give God all the glory for what He has done.
Thus Saith the Lord
Yea saith the Spirit of the Lord. My servant didn’t bring you his thoughts; he brought you mine. He didn’t speak his mind; he spoke my mind to you. I love you with an unending love, and I care for you. I long day and night for you to be protected by the truth and to be established in the truth. I have yearned for so many years to have pure-hearted people who will make up a mighty army that will take my Gospel to the whole world in this last hour.
My plan will not be defeated. I am moving to anoint you, and I will use you; but you must yield to me. You must put self down and get rid of any thoughts you have that you don’t know are my thoughts. Take heed to my Word and my Gospel, and you will have my thoughts.
Don’t use any opinion you have until you know it is of me, saith the Lord, and I will draw you to my bosom like never before. I will cover you in times of storm. I will give you light in times of darkness. I will give you lightness in times of despair. I will give you joy in times of sorrow. I will give you strength in times of weakness. I will be your power. I will be your greatness. I will be your wisdom, and I will be your knowledge.
My Spirit will work within you, and you will be taught daily by my Spirit. You will be led by my Spirit. You will be a type of my Spirit, saith the Lord; but you must have my baptism to be taught all you must know in this last hour.
You must take on the mind of my Son, Jesus. Be assured that the same things that made up His mind can be yours. You will have the same mind that He used. You will not be easily defeated by oppression, depression and despair. You will know how to use the truth and how to destroy that which comes from the devil.
I will lead you into green, green pastures. I will lead you to the River of Life flowing from my Son daily to planet Earth. You will be amazed by my greatness. You will be amazed by my help and by my miracles to the physical body that I will give. I am the Lord, and I am the Lord that clotheth all people. I am the great I Am, and no power can stand before my power. Be with me, and I will be with you. Walk with me, and I will walk with you. Take my high thoughts, and my Spirit will help you to have those high thoughts. You will think as your Lord thinks. Then you can use my power against Lucifer as my Son used it when He was on Earth. Be not troubled in your spirit and be not afraid. I the Lord thy God will be with you.
Draw Closer to God
The Lord wants to deliver each one of you from your opinions and any thoughts that are against Him. Spend time with Him each day. Pray, fast and live in the Word of God, and seek to receive the baptism in the precious Holy Ghost if you don’t already have Him.
Spend time with the Lord and delight in Him, and He will do great and mighty things for you. Believe all His Word says, and He will use you in this final hour. Don’t look to the right or the left. Close your ears to doubt and open your heart to the faith of God, and you will see His mighty hand moving in the land today. You will know His prophecies for tomorrow. God is really working to give each child of God His greatness in this final hour because our time on this Earth is limited. The Holy Spirit is working night and day to groom all those who will yield to Him to help bring in the harvest and be ready to go when Jesus comes.
