I want everyone who reads this message to know the truth about Jesus and His resurrection power. I want you to come into the reality of Jesus Christ being the resurrection and the life. One of the greatest resurrection examples in the Bible, besides Jesus’ resurrection, is when Jesus resurrected Lazarus from the dead.

When Lazarus fell sick, his sisters, Mary and Martha, sent for Jesus to come and pray for their brother; but instead of rushing to see Lazarus, Jesus tarried a little longer where He was at. He told the disciples, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby (John 11:4).

Even so, Lazarus did die; so in light of what Jesus had said, that must have been confusing to the disciples. However, Jesus knew that although Lazarus was physically dead, he was only temporarily asleep. When you die in Christ, you are considered asleep in the eyes of God; and one day, your body will be resurrected and reunited with your soul.

Two days after Jesus had heard that Lazarus was sick, He told the disciples, Let us go into Judaea again (John 11:7). The disciples were concerned about that because the people there had tried to stone Jesus; but Jesus told them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep (John 11:11).

The disciples thought Lazarus was still alive and said, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well. Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead (John 11:12,14). I’m sure the disciples were shocked to hear that, but Jesus knew Lazarus had to die so He could resurrect him and be glorified.

After Jesus and the disciples arrived in Judaea, Martha came to Jesus and said, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died (John 11:21). Martha had the faith to believe that Jesus could heal her brother, but she didn’t have the reality of Jesus being the resurrection and the life.

Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die (John 11:23-26).

Then Jesus cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth (John 11:43,44).

You Must Be Born Again

Friend, do you believe that Jesus is the resurrection and the life? When your body goes to the grave, it will simply be asleep in God’s eyes and waiting for the great Resurrection Day. Jesus died on the Cross for our sins so we could have redemption for our souls. The fact that He walked out of the tomb three days later proves that He conquered death, hell and the grave for us. Without Jesus’ resurrection, there would be no Church of Jesus Christ and no foundation for Christianity.

Jesus came to be our sacrificial lamb. When John the Baptist saw Jesus walking toward him, he said, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world (John 1:29). John the Baptist knew Jesus had come to lay down His life so we could be resurrected from death unto life. Friend, if you are living a life of sin today, you are spiritually dead; and you need to be resurrected. Jesus is the resurrection and the life for your soul.

Jesus made that clear to Nicodemus when He said, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God (John 3:3). Nicodemus was one of the religious leaders of the Jews, and he thought he was okay; but that was not so. Every person must have a born-again experience or their soul is still dead. Every soul must be resurrected through the blood of Jesus Christ because He is the resurrection and the life.

A Woman Received New Life

The woman at the well experienced the Lord’s great resurrection power for her soul when Jesus offered her living water. He told her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again (John 4:13). That woman was an all-out sinner. Jesus knew she had had five husbands and that the man she was with at that time wasn’t her husband. Even so, Jesus had great love for her, so He offered her living water. When she reached out for it, her soul was resurrected from death into life.

Through Jesus, that woman received new life. She was so excited that she left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men, Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ (John 4:28,29)? That woman became an instant soul winner. When you receive new life, you too must be a witness and win others for the Lord.

A Lame Man Received Life

After Jesus had been resurrected and ascended to Heaven, Peter and John went to the temple to pray one day. At the gate, they came across a beggar who had been lame from his mother’s womb, and he asked them for money. Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God (Acts 3:6-8).

When the people saw that lame man leaping and praising God, they were filled with wonder and amazement and began running to Peter and John. And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk? The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go. But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you; And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses (Acts 3:12-15). Peter really let those people have it with the truth, and he told them to repent.

About five thousand men heard that message, and many of them believed; but the Sadducees, the priests and the captain of the temple did not. Instead, they laid hands on Peter and John and held them overnight.

The next day, Peter and John were taken before the Jewish rulers, elders, scribes, the high priest and their kindred; and they asked Peter and John about the lame man’s miracle: By what power, or by what name, have ye done this (Acts 4:7)?

Peter was full of the Holy Ghost; and he answered them with holy boldness and told them, Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:10,12).

Peter wanted those people to know that even though they had killed Jesus, they couldn’t stop God from raising Him from the dead; and they couldn’t stop the resurrection power of Jesus Christ from going forth to deliver people and set them free from whatever bondages they had.

Never Deny the Resurrection

The Resurrection of Jesus Christ is just as important as His crucifixion. If you deny His resurrection, then your faith was in vain. At one time, some of the people in the church at Corinth were denying the resurrection of the dead, and that was casting doubt about Christ’s resurrection; so Paul told them, Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain (I Corinthians 15:12-14). Paul was teaching the people that if they didn’t believe in the Resurrection of Christ, their faith was in vain.

The same resurrection power Jesus used to walk out of the tomb two thousand years ago is still working today. When Jesus returns, all His children will be raptured through that resurrection power, and the Bride of Christ will rise up to meet Jesus in the air. Death has no dominion over those who are blood-washed and Spirit-filled. Those who have died in Christ will also come out of their tombs on that great Resurrection day.

Jesus Arose

When Jesus was here, He plainly told the disciples, His followers and others that He would rise again on the third day. Then answered the Jews and said unto him [Jesus], What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things? Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up (John 2:18,19).

Jesus’ resurrection should have been no surprise to anybody, but it was because the people weren’t listening with spiritual ears to what Jesus said. Jesus even gave them a type and shadow of what was going to happen. For as Jonas [Jonah] was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man [Jesus] be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth (Matthew 12:40).

Because of Jesus’ explanations, all the disciples should have been at the tomb on the third day waiting for Jesus to walk out; but they weren’t. Why did they forget what Jesus had told them? You can’t ever forget what Jesus has said to you in His Word.

On the dawn of the third day after Christ’s death, there was a great earthquake; and the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: And for fear of him the keepers [the soldiers guarding the tomb] did shake, and became as dead men (Matthew 28:2-4). It would not have mattered how many soldiers were guarding that tomb because there is no defeat in the resurrection power of Jesus. That angel was going to roll away the stone no matter what.

Christ’s Resurrection Made Known

Later, Mary Magdalene and some of the other women brought spices to the sepulcher to anoint Jesus’ body, and they saw the angel of the Lord. Then he said to them, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay (Matthew 28:5,6). The stone didn’t need to be rolled away for Jesus to be able to walk out, but people needed to see that the tomb was empty so they would have the reality of His resurrection power.

When the women wondered at the empty tomb, the angel said, He is not here, but is risen (Luke 24:6). The angel then reminded them of the words Jesus had spoken at Galilee saying, Remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again (Luke 24:6,7).

The women then ran from the sepulcher with great joy to take the good news about Jesus’ resurrection to the disciples; but when the women told them what had happened, the Bible says, Their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they [the disciples] believed them not (Luke 24:11).

The disciples did not hear the testimony of the women with spiritual ears, and they wanted to see before they would believe. Later that same day, Jesus showed Himself to the disciples; and He proved to them that He was not a spirit by eating some fish and honeycomb.

Doubting Thomas

Thomas was not with the disciples when Jesus appeared to them, so they told Thomas that they had seen Him; but he didn’t believe them. Thomas said, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe (John 20:25).

Eight days later, Jesus appeared to the disciples again; and that time, Thomas was there. So Jesus said to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing (John 20:27).

Suddenly, Thomas became a believer and cried, My Lord and my God (John 20:28). Then Jesus said, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed (John 20:29).

You must believe in Christ’s resurrection and the power of it as Paul did when he said, That I may know him [Jesus], and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death (Philippians 3:10).

Christ’s Suffering Revealed

When Jesus was on Earth, He knew what He was going to have to face; but that didn’t make it any easier. He used resurrection power to lay down His life and take it up again; and that same resurrection power will bring life to your soul, mind and body. It works through the blood of Jesus Christ and the supernatural power of the Holy Ghost. There is no defeat in Jesus Christ.

I want to point out again that before Jesus was killed, He had let the disciples know what was going to happen to Him. From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day (Matthew 16:21).

When Peter heard that, the Bible tells us he began to rebuke Jesus saying it could not be so. What did Jesus do? He said to Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men (Matthew 16:23). Jesus made it clear to Peter that he was thinking like the devil. You may have good intentions in doing something; but if your mind does not match the spiritual mind of God, you can’t please Him.

God wanted the disciples to know what His plan for Jesus was, but they had a hard time accepting it. They didn’t focus on the fact that Jesus said He would rise again on the third day and show the world that He had resurrection power even though they had witnessed that power working when Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. Lazarus’ body may have already started to decay, but resurrection power has the power to recreate.

Jesus Suffered Willingly

At the Last Supper, Jesus tried to prepare the disciples for what was ahead saying, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer: For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God (Luke 22:15,16). Even though Jesus had resurrection power, He would still have to suffer to fulfill the divine will of the Father. There will be times in your life when you will have to suffer to do God’s will. Are you willing to do that?

You must always remember that you have resurrection power available to use, so you can overcome just like Jesus did. It’s natural not to want to suffer. Jesus didn’t want to suffer either, but He was willing. Remember His prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane: Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done (Luke 22:42).

God did not remove that cup from Jesus, but He did send an angel to strengthen Him. And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him (Luke 22:43). God will always give you what you need to fulfill His divine will if you have an obedient heart.

Peter Failed

Like Jesus, Peter could have had angel help if he would have yielded to God’s divine plan. Peter knew the great works Jesus had done, but he didn’t have the reality of Christ’s resurrection power. If he had, he would have spoken up for Jesus; but instead, Peter turned his back on Him. And even if Peter had spoken up for Jesus, God’s plan for Jesus to die on the Cross and be raised from the dead still would have gone forward. The only difference would have been that Peter would not have backslidden on God. It’s never God’s will for anyone to fail.

Jesus had warned Peter saying, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat (Luke 22:31). But Peter didn’t heed that warning. Today, the Bible is warning us of the second coming of Jesus, and many people won’t heed that warning. They are turning their backs on Jesus.

Jesus endured to the end of His life, and He expects you to do the same no matter what you have to face. Jesus said, He that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved (Mark 13:13). Jesus paid the ultimate price when He was whipped, beaten beyond recognition and then condemned to the Cross for crimes He didn’t even commit.

Jesus Endured with Humility

Jesus endured horrible agony and pain with great humility. The chief priests, elders and scribes mocked Him as He hung on the Cross, and so did the two thieves on each side of Him; but Jesus prayed to His Father, Forgive them; for they know not what they do (Luke 23:34). Jesus showed love and compassion even though He was suffering so much.

God is the one who gave Jesus the power to lay down His life and take it up again. He could have commanded His spirit be taken to Heaven at any time, but He waited for all the prophecies about His death to be fulfilled. He waited until He made sure His mother would be looked after by John. He even waited until the thief hanging on the cross to the right of Him was ready to give his heart to the Lord. And he [the thief] said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise (Luke 23:42,43).

That thief had been mocking Jesus; but when he saw how Jesus handled Himself on the Cross, it changed everything for him. That thief watched Jesus show love when others were showing Him hate, and the Holy Spirit was using that to prepare his heart to accept Jesus.

Jesus endured to the end because of His love for lost souls. Are you willing to do the same thing? You can if you have resurrection power flowing through you. Jesus had laid out God’s plan to everyone, not just the disciples. He wanted everyone to know that He was going to be raised from the dead on the third day.

New Life for Your Soul

When people see you showing love to others, the Holy Spirit can soften their hearts and prepare them to accept Jesus. I have seen prisoners in different places in Africa and South America with hardened hearts. They’re angry because of the situation they are in, and they feel there is no hope for them; but when people with the love of Jesus share with them the message of Jesus and the love He has for them, the Holy Spirit softens their hearts. As tears stream down their faces, their hearts are prepared by the Holy Spirit to accept Jesus Christ. It’s an amazing transformation to watch, and it's one you will never forget.

Christ’s death, resurrection and all that has come out of them are all a part of God’s plan. We too are a part of God’s plan just like Jesus’ disciples were. Friend, do you believe in that resurrection power? Do you believe Jesus died on the Cross for your sins and rose again on the third day? If you don’t, salvation and eternal life will never be yours. Then when Jesus comes back to take His Bride home in the Rapture, you will be left behind in the Tribulation Period. Whether you believe that or not is up to you.

The Bible plainly tells us that the Rapture will soon take place, and you can see the signs around you every day. Do you believe that? Are you seeing this world through the eyes of the Holy Spirit or through your physical eyes?

Jesus did rise again so you could have an opportunity to accept Jesus Christ into your heart. Friend, Jesus went through so much because He loves you. He made the sacrifice to die on the Cross for you and me, but you are the one who has to accept Him into your heart.

If you don’t have Jesus in your heart today, this is your opportunity. Pray with me now and say, Oh, God, save my soul. Forgive me for my sins. I have come home to serve you for the rest of my life. And I believe the blood of Jesus washes away all of my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus. Come on in, Jesus. Amen.

If you meant that prayer, you have Jesus Christ in your heart. You have the resurrection power He spoke of when He said, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die (John 11:25,26). Praise Him with your whole heart and thank Him for this opportunity. Then let others know about Jesus. I pray you will be a witness to lead others to the Lord.

New Life for Your Body

The Lord doesn’t only want to resurrect your soul from death unto life; He wants to resurrect your body from any sickness or disease. When Jesus was on Earth, He prayed for the sick and afflicted and said to His followers before He ascended into Heaven, And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues…they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:17,18). These signs and wonders are being seen in this Jesus ministry because we believe the full Gospel of Christ. We don’t have to see to believe; we believe to see.

Maybe you have been struggling in your body for a long time. Let today be the day you reach out and receive from the Lord. Let the resurrection power of Jesus Christ heal you. Jesus is the resurrection and the life.

If you are sick in body today, you can have the Lord’s resurrection power flow through your body and heal you in a glorious way. It doesn’t matter what is wrong with you; this resurrection power can make you whole all over.

Raise your hands while we pull down Heaven, and let the Lord move for you today. Lord, Heavenly Father, I bring the people before you. Move for each one of them. I curse every sickness and disease in their bodies. Heal them, in the blood name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Lord, wrap your loving arms around them and let them feel your holy presence. Let them receive all you have for them. In the blood name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.

Friend, look for every sign of improvement and always give God the praise, the honor and the glory for what He has done for you. Then be a witness for the Lord and let us know what God has done for you today. You can send your testimony to us by mail or email, or you can post it to one of our social media pages.

Receive Power from On High

Now, Friend, I want to give you this opportunity to receive great power from on High, the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Before Jesus ascended back to Heaven, He instructed His disciples, And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high (Luke 24:49). You must obey those instructions and tarry until you receive that same promise of the Father just like the disciples did.

Let the Holy Ghost come in and take over your tongue and speak in a Heavenly language. All you have to do is say “glory,” one “glory” after another. As you are praising the Lord with those glories, that heavenly power will get greater and greater until the Holy Spirit will come in and take over your tongue. Keep yielding to the Lord until He speaks through you in a heavenly language.

At this time, I’m going to call down a great anointing upon you to receive the Holy Ghost. Lord, Heavenly Father, I call down this great anointing upon the people. Receive ye the Holy Ghost. Receive ye the Holy Ghost. Just start praising Him and glorifying Jesus until the Holy Ghost comes in.
